Today is Monday, and I’m back at the hospital after calling in sick on Friday. I wasn’t feeling my best, with a temperature of 101, but thankfully, I was able to sleep it off. I’m grateful to have a job to return to—a blessing I don’t take lightly.
Over the weekend, my eBay business kept on keeping on. I sold eight items, which I packed up this morning before heading to work. It’s always satisfying to see the fruits of my efforts paying off. After work, the day continues as I am taking my trailer to the landfill.
Last Thursday, I tackled a big project—cleaning out my basement. The walls were falling apart, so it’s time for a much-needed transformation. I’m preparing the space to become my library, where I can finally move all my books out of the bedroom. Creating this library will free up space and give my books the dedicated home they deserve.
Once the trailer is emptied, the next step is to finish cleaning out the garage, which doubles as my workspace for reselling. Having a clean and organized space is crucial for running Parishable Store effectively, and I’m excited to get it all set up.
After the landfill trip, I plan to stop by Goodwill in Lawton to source new inventory. While the Lawton store isn’t the cleanest, maybe I’ll find some hidden gems that make the effort worthwhile.
Tomorrow will be another full day with my daughter’s orthodontist appointment in Mustang, which also gives me the perfect excuse to visit my favorite Goodwill location there.
As hectic as life can get, I’m reminded of the importance of balancing work, family, and the projects that bring me joy. Whatever they may be, selling on eBay, organizing my home, or spending time with loved ones, every task is a step toward building a life I’m proud of.
